Everywhere we look there seems to be insensitivity
and cruelty. Many people prefer not to know what is going on because they feel incapable
of doing anything about it. However, it is important to learn all the facts and then to
take compassionate action. This action can take many forms, but one of the most powerful
and effective is to make your feelings known in writing. Over the past few years, there
have been great strides in a number of animal rights areas due, in large part, to massive
letter-writing campaigns.
We are so busy in our day-to-day lives that it is often
difficult to take the time to sit down, compose a letter, address and stamp an envelope
and take it to the post office or nearest mailbox. We plan on doing it; we really mean to
do it; but we just never get around to actually doing it.
Listed below are a number of Compassionate
Action Alerts. If you click on the subject of your choice, you will be
able to read very briefly about the problem. You will be able to send an e-mail on the
spot to the responsible party or parties and you will have a link for more detailed
information to the animal rights group that is championing the cause. You will also have
the option of printing out a sample letter to mail and will have the opportunity to send
the alert to all of your friends so that their voices can also be heard.
This is a very simple and convenient way for you to speak
up for the voiceless. Never underestimate the power you have to influence the minds of
political and corporate leaders.
Please check back on a regular basis to see what new Compassionate Action Alerts have
been added and to learn about the impact of your efforts. Please

additional Alerts.
Once you are aware of an unacceptable
situation, you must take compassionate action. Always
remember, "Dissent without resistance is consent."
