At the May meeting of the Kind Kids Club, the kids were treated to the award-winning video "It’s Cool to be Kind." This video sends a clear message to anyone willing to listen…that it really is cool to be kind! Topics covered included everything from how to keep a companion animal healthy and safe to understanding the important link between animal cruelty and violence against humans. It also gave information on animal shelters and rescue organizations, how to adopt a companion animal, the importance of proper veterinary care and grooming and how to be prepared for an animal emergency. It was a great way for the kids to learn about the importance of humane treatment of all animals in a fun and entertaining way.
Following the video, the kids were given an opportunity to make a variety of crafts that carried messages of kindness. As usual, each kid took home an envelope filled with humane educational material.
